Top notch guide

Reviewed December 31, 2017

Randy absolutely deserves the tour guide awards and recognition he has received.  He is top notch.  He is  interesting, polite, caring, funny, intelligent, fun, able to share his knowledge effectively  with  20-somethings and their parents, and knows his subject backward, forward and upside down.  His love for, and pride in,  all that makes up New Orleans is a joy to experience.  We all learned a lot AND had fun doing it! We definitely want him to be our guide again for our next visit!

Awwww....thanks, Ferne! I can relate well to 20-somethings because I, myself, am 25 years old. (I've been 25 for 34 years now! LOL) Had a terrific time hanging out with you - let's do it again, soon!

Simply Amazing

Reviewed December 31, 2017

Randy was a spectacular guide!  Upon meeting us, he immediately began to give us information that was beneficial in our better understanding the history of New Orleans.  It was evident quite early on in the tour that Randy is quite passionate about not only the city he calls home, but also his job.  He finds a way to make the history relevant to all in the tour and makes it a point to add humor in his delivery.  Simply put, Randy was one of the best tour guides I've had!  He obviously loves his job and takes pride in it!  Thank you Randy!

Thank you, thank you, Eric! Although it doesn't sound like it, I'm very sincere when I say a good tour guide requires good tourists! Sometimes I end up with a group that are like the Easter Island statues and it doesn't go as well as it does when someone fantastic like you is on board! Come on bo More

RANDY IS FABULOUS!!!

Reviewed December 29, 2017

We are not your typical "take a tour" folk. We usually prefer to grab a map and explore cities ourselves. We are SO thankful that Randy took us on the cemetary tour. His love for his city comes through. He has personal stories and a great sense of humor along with humility. He treats his city and it's legacy with respect and grace. When we come back to New Orleans we will be requesting Randy. Hopefully Mr. Bibb knows he is welcome in the Bay anytime. Sending much love xoxoxoxoxo Jenny and Dan

We DID have fun, didn't we! I'm sure I told you and now I'll tell the world - I've been to "the Bay" once in my life...I turned 10 years old at the corner of Haight & Ashbury in 1968! (I did not have flowers in my hair - that came MUCH later!) My uncle was a Jazz musician who owned a club in Fres More

no; we drove (and drove and drove...) to California to go visit him and we went in to San Francisco for my birthday. Fond memories. Anyway - thanks, Jennifer, for your very nice review and come back soon! Less

New Orleans Cemetery Tour

Reviewed December 17, 2017

We booked a walking tour of St. Louis cemetery #1 this past week. Randy was our tour guide. His personality and sense of humor won us over before the tour even began. He provided us with great stories about the cemetery and surrounding area and also dispelled some myths. You can tell that he really cares about his city and its history. We left informed and entertained. He even exchanged cooking tips with our daughter. If we ever return, we will definitely seek him out again.

Tour of New Orleans

Reviewed November 29, 2017

On a Senior Adventure bus tour from The Villages, Fl. to Biloxi & New Orleans, we had Randy Bibb as guide to the details of New Orleans. He is very knowledgable and had some very interesting descriptions of events in New Orleans. We especially were interested in his info on the St. Louis Cemetery, the events of the latest hurricaines to hit New Orleans and the architecture in the different parishes. Thank you Randy for sharing your life and experiences.

Thank you, Mary! I LOVE Senior Adventures and any time I have a chance to be with y'all I drop what I'm doing and run as fast as I can. I love you all. The most difficult part of what I do is talking about Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. People don't understand the pain of reliving them over and ov More

er. But, if I want to show people this incredible city I must show it all. Sometimes I can do it, sometimes not. As I recall, I did OK with y'all - got a little emotional, perhaps, hopefully stayed in control. Maybe one day the world will let Katrina/Rita go and enjoy the city for the wondrous place it is. Meanwhile, tell all the Senior Adventure people I said "HI!" and I'm looking forward to your return. Less
