Randy is an authentic character

Reviewed June 22, 2018

Randy knows his stuff! He showed us around the Degas home on Esplanade. What a fantastic, detailed time travel into the life and times of the impressionist and the story behind his short stay in New Orleans. Randy has a penchant for acting and bringing life to his stories. Being with Randy means learning and touring in a highly entertaining way. I know I would enjoy other tours with Randy around the Crescent City, and I plan to do so.

What an excellent surprise!

Randy was a wonderful tour guide.  We were lucky enough to have had the pleasure of completing this tour with our group only.  He was able to adapt rather quickly to our needs.  Our son is fourteen and is easy to get restless, however Randy had him entertained till the end.  To this day it is still his favourite tour from New Orleans.  He loved that Randy was willing to go down and touch the Mississippi River with him.  Randy was lively and had many jokes to share with us throughout the tour, but was still able to teach us many things we did not know about New Orleans history and culture.

Randy is very passionate about New Orleans and he exudes this when giving the tour.  Randy was able to make me a believer of New Orleans.  I was not a super impressed person the morning we showed up for the tour, but by the end I really was able to see some of the wonderful things that makes New Orleans such a historical gem.

We would like to thank Randy for providing us with the best tour we had in New Orleans, keep up the amazing work!

Oh, wow, Trisha, thanks! That was fun laying down on the steps to touch water that has touched 31 states and 2 Canadian provinces! Things are much bigger than people realize. Tell your son I said HEY! Thanks for the great review and y'all come back soon!

Personalized perfection

Reviewed May 1, 2018

We stumbled upon Randy by sheer accident. We had booked another tour online but when we arrived at that location the bartender informed us that they use their address fraudulently and if possible to get another tour company. We asked for a recommendation and he immediately told us about Randy. We gave him a quick text and he informed us it would just be us if that was okay. I mean could we get an luckier?! We arranged a meet up later that evening for a French quarter ghost tour and it was more than what we could have imagined. Randy’s enthusiasm for his city and everything historical significant made everything (including Randy) relate able and welcoming. I loved his passion and the tour we got. I will be contacting him again when I have other visitors coming into town whom want to do tours. You can’t go wrong with Randy and no doubt you will get one of the best tour guides in the city!

We had fun, didn't we! The Ghost Tour can be challenging, what with all the noise and activity in the French Quarter in the evening, but it's a great tour and I enjoyed hanging with you. (And many thanks to Justin for recommending me to you!!!)

Excellent story telling ability. We really liked that he had pictures and documentation. That really added to the prentation.  The stories told were not what I was expecting, which was fantastic.

Thank you, Catherine, for writing this. And also thank you for bringing up documentation - It's very important for a tour guide who does historical tours to be able to back up what they say. And researching this city is endlessly fascinating! I love what I do - and people like you make it even be More

Bless His Heart, He Couldn't Help It

Reviewed May 1, 2018

I traveled to New Orleans with a group of older adults with our main attraction being the WWII Museum. Even before we reached New Orleans, Randy reached out to say hello and to make sure we didn't have any questions or problems prior to our arrival. As it turned out, we needed to get to a pharmacy upon our arrival to pick up a much-needed prescription that one of my travelers had left at home. Randy navigated me through that issue and bent over backwards until the prescription was in-hand. When he finally stepped onto our bus, we all felt like we already knew him! Randy was incredibly funny, smart, witty and so knowledgable about the history of New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina and the city it is today. He never left our side, making sure we always knew where we were going, and he kept us on schedule. We could not have asked for a better guide for our trip. We left new Orleans with a smile in our hearts just having known him even for that short period of time.
