We had the pleasure of touring for two days with Bon. His English is impeccable, his knowledge of Angkor Wat, and the surrounding temples , is unsurpassed. Bon is punctual , reliable, and a pleasure to spend time with. We were transported in a very comfortable air conditioned van with a professional driver. Bon knows where to take you to minimize the crowds, and maximize your time. in addition to the temple visits, we also explored the cultural history of the area,with a visit to a local food market,where we were the only tourists. We also took a boat tour of the fishing community Komong Phluk. Not to be missed. A very special visit to a Buddhist temple complete with blessings rounded out an this extraordinary experience. In a recent trip to Siem Reap I had the good fortune to receive Bon Chem as my guide. Mine was a one and one-half week tour of almost all of the temples surrounding Angkor and the more distant temples of the Roluos group, Koh Ker, Beng Melea, Kbal Spean and Banteay Srey. Bon knew exactly where to go, to see the temples at their best and to see the best that each temple had built into it, dodging the crowds; Bon was fully knowledgeable of the structure and history of each of them. His selection each day of a restaurant for lunch was excellent. It was a pleasure to be in the company of Bon, a most pleasant person, a true gentleman.

Bon's engaging, informative narration of the Siem Reap area simply made our trip. From ancient history to current events, and from exciting legends to amusing personal anecdotes, Bon shared with us the true spirit of the region. At many sites, he took us through side or back entrances to avoid the crowds and to show us things from a different perspective. His knack for and knowledge of photography were invaluable. Bon often helped me with the settings on my camera and also showed me the perfect places to stand to make sure I got the best shots. A sensitive and gracious host, Bon allowed us quiet time so we could individually process and enjoy the surrounding beauty as well as to rest. He was masterful at maintaining our 14 year old son's attention, expanding on topics or issues that interested him. Bon's English was excellent and he was very easy to understand. Bon is the absolute best!
