Once in a Lifetime Tour

Reviewed June 23, 2023

Cecil took us on a two-day tour of the Verdum battlefields. I suspect a lot of people could read about the history and show others around. But Cecil is passionate about what he does and what he wants to show others. We saw the major sites, but we also saw the small, personal sites that really brought out the emotions of the time. WWI was over 100 years ago, but its story remains relevant. Cecil brought it to life for us.  It touched me in a way I hadn't imagined, and it is all because of Cecil's knowledge and caring. If/when we come back, we will definitely be getting a 2nd tour from him. Cecil, on behalf of my son and me, thank you so much.

Great day at Verdun

Reviewed June 10, 2023

The trip around the Verdun battle field was a great way to get a good overview of the battle, its progress over time in 1916 and how the warring parties developed. Cecil is a very good guide, knowledgable on the area and the history, adding a lot of texture to the story and its horrors. We can highly recommend him!

We had an astounding day with Cecil. He is knowledgeable and so very happy to share all he knows. We would not have got so much from the day without him, and aftet a month in France this was by far our favourite day.

Argonne bucket list visit

Reviewed December 2, 2022

Cecil was great and extremely knowledgable on WWI. I came to see the Argonne Forest where my grandfather, who ultimately survived, was severly wounded on October 16, 1918. Cecil not only showed us the battlefields in the area, but he took me to a monument on the Argonne battlefield that commemorated the US Army's 4th Division in which my grandfather served as a lieutenant & veterinarian for the Calvary (University of PA 1914 DVM). A lifelong dream come true. THANKS AGAIN CECIL
