Wonderful, informative day in Colonial Zone

Reviewed April 5, 2024

My wife and I had a full day with Samuel and, in addition to a complete tour of the Colonial Zone, received an engaging tutorial on Dominican history as well as a discussion of the serious issues in Haiti. Samuel is a walking encyclopedia, an excellent communicator, and fun to be with. I recommend him highly.

amazing guide with lots of knowledge

Samuel was amazing as our private guide in Santo Domingo, he is a walking encyclopedia with a very friendly disposition. He offered many facts in history, geography, architecture and politics. He even had illustrations from archives to show us how buildings looked in the past compared to the present. He gave us a very comprehensive and intelligent tour.  We recommend him 100% ! Just amazing.

Tour of Dominican Baseball Academies

Reviewed March 12, 2024

My son and I were interesting in visiting and learning about the MLB baseball academies in the Dominican Republic as my son is majoring in college in Sports Management at Texas A&M University and is also interested in becoming bilingual in Spanish and working in the sports industry.  This was an unusual request but we had read about what a great tour guide Samuel was so we reached out to him with our request.  Samuel exceeded our expectations on every level.  Before we arrived to the DR for the two MLB games that were held in Santo Domingo as part of the World Tour pre-season games, Samuel took his personal time to visit these academies and arrange for personal tours with 3 of them.  These academies are not well publicized, they are gated off and they are not open to the general public.  Samuel was able to arrange personal tours of the facilities of the Phillies, Yankees and Mets organizations.  My son and I learned so much about what these facilities are doing to bring international players in to the MLB and in the meantime helping to educate those players.  In addition, Samuel showed us several universities in Santo Domingo that our son might be able to attend on a study abroad program in the future.  He also took us to a great restaurant along the coast for lunch.   All during this time, he provided us with a deep history, economic and demographic information, etc. of his home country, the Dominican Republic.  We now have a new friend in the DR.  If anybody is looking to visit the DR, Samuel is the person to contact.  I wish we could have spent more than one day with him, but there were two baseball games to be watched and only so much time!

We had a very good day with Samuel.  He was extremely responsive in booking and planning the day in Santo Domingo for seven of us.  We were looking for an art tour and architectural highlights and he did a really great job.  Highly knowledgeable and skilled. You can't go wrong with Samuel...and he has the most wonderful audio system so you don't miss a word
