Samuel Bisono

My wife and I had a full day with Samuel and, in addition to a complete tour of the Colonial Zone, received an engaging tutorial on Dominican history as well as a discussion of the serious issues in Haiti. Samuel is a walking encyclopedia, an excellent communicator, and fun to be with. I recommend him highly.

Thulasizwe Nkabinde

Sizwe gave us an excellent 2-day tour of Johannesburg, from Soweto, the large black ‘township’ which was in many ways the birthplace of the anti-apartheid movement, to the growing new Sandton section of Jo’burg, to parts of downtown Jo’burg we likely wouldn’t have visited on our own. In both Soweto and downtown he introduced us to fun local restaurants. Highly recommended are the Apartheid Museum, which makes clear the depravity of the system and the bravery of the people who fought to overthrow it, and Liliesleaf farm, where anti-apartheid whites served as a front for secret meetings, and which was the source of Nelson Mandela’s (and many others) lifetime jail sentence. Sizwe is extremely knowledgeable about South African history and a good companion with whom to explore the city. I highly recommend him.

Tanya Yurasova

Tanya is an excellent guide to both the University and the City of Cambridge. We toured a couple of colleges (don't miss the grand chapel of Kings College, which requires an extra fee), and learned the history of the University and its rivalry with the slightly older school in the "other place." I highly recommend Tanya.

melissa-london-tour-guide

Melissa Langley

Melissa is an excellent guide to London and its principal sights. While we could have visited Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, etc. on our own, it was much more meaningful to have Melissa give us the (long) history and point out all the key features. I highly recommend her.
