We visited Jaipur a few weeks ago and Pawan absooutely made our first visit to India.

His knowledge of India as a whole, its history, how India now relates to its past, its religion and social structure  as well as the history of Jaipur are encyclopeadic.

We spent fantastic days with him. We gave him a list of the places we wanted to see in advance, he met us the day before we were booked for our first day when  he suggested others that would be of interest and we fitted everything in. We saw tourist and real India (which we would have missed entirely without him).  He found us a fantastic exchange rate, cigars, took us to the places locals shop for ornaments and so saved us a huge amount of money on gifts. I caught a cold and he took us to a chemist stall where I picked up a winters supply of remedys for next to nothing.  Real India is the absolute highlight particularly the walk around Old Jaipur. Make sure you sit by the side of the road for a cup of chai.

He secured us a car at a very reasonable price who was with us for the 3 days. A must if you are touring independantly and want to see as much as possible.

He helped us understand and fall in love with Amazing India and we will be back.

Pawan Kumar is an excellent guide , very helpful , Patient and over and above he is a good person by heart. I have only 2 days experience with him. I found him very nice person who try to be one amoung us and share his details and family matters and be more intimate with the tourist. He was nice with children and find time to play with them and entertain them. Overall I feld him as a good friend and he trys to mainain this friendship afterwards also.

Sometimes, you have to get lucky! We did. Our Tour Operator provided us with an altered itinerary - amended three times once our tour was underway. A total of eleven in our party. Thank goodness for Pawan - 14 days with us and assisting us with food issues, medication, accommodation problems, language difficulties and a general willingness to go the-extra-mile. All through Rajasthan, he looked after us and apart from his historical knowledge, visiting many Castles, Palaces, Forts, Temples etc he was able to maintain the interest of a diverse group of people in an easy-going manner that was humorous and friendly. Everyone in our party got along with Pawan - he has the ability to be-friend you. We recommend his services without hesitation. As we said earlier: 'You have to be lucky to get him!"
