The breadth and depth of Rafi's knowledge of history, archeology and culture is exemplary. He is a personable and caring man in every respect. Genuine, sincere and enthusiastic, Rafi was always available to each traveler responding to their special interests or needs. Of the 20 trips that I have taken with GCT or Oat,, Rafi is a standout among their team of other excellent guides. He continues to follow up sharing his knowledge of contemporary events occurring Israel. I developed a passion for all that is Israel as a result of my trip and there will be a day that I return when I return. I attribute this passion and a future return to Israel as a result of this fabulous experience provided by Rafi.

I recently participated in a guided trip led by Rafi. He was great in every aspect! I have been on dozens of international trips with dozens of guides of all experience levels, and Rafi stands out as top tier. His knowledge of the sites we visited was vast and seemingly effortless. He added outstanding touches such as asking us (the participants) to read historical passages related to the sites (at the House of Simon the Tanner and at Masada, for example). He could have easily read these passages to us, but to include us in the presentations is a detail I really appreciated. He was also very personable, and went out of his way to engage each of us one-on-one (at breakfast, waiting for the bus, etc.). His professionalism was commendable. I would highly recommend Rafi Rozanes!
