Enjoyed my 1st trip to Pekanbaru and Harau Valley. David brought us to eat a lot of local food, a bit too cold for my preferences but the food taste nice. He is quite adaptive to our request like bringing us to eat durian, etc. A bit tortourous is the 10hrs car drive to/fro Pekanbaru and Harau Valley. Nothing much to do in Harau Valley but enjoyed the lay back and relaxing moment compared to the hectic life I have in Singapore (but 1 night should be enough else I will be bored). A nice place to relax and will definitely be back again. 

David arranged a very memorable trip for me.  He was able to take my requests and add in his expert advice to bring together a nice itinerary. With direct flights from Singapore to Pekanbaru,  I wanted to start in Pekanbaru and go to Harau Valley. He was able to coordinate a really nice two day tour and to accommodate my unique requests. He is very responsive, well organized, and a clear communicator. He and his staff frequently checked in with me throughout the trip to see how things were going. They were very thoughtful and paid close attention to details, including  figuring out how to find vegetarian places where I could eat. David was knowledgeable and brought a positive energy that made it easy to become enchanted with this part of Sumatra. I'm looking forward to seeing how I can return to do another tour with David in the future.

First time i met David was in bukit lawang. I was there for the second time and i enjoyed that place very much. David has a lot of knowledges about indonesia and been to a lot of places to search for beautiful spots. He can show you how beautiful Indonesia is! So if you're visiting Indonesia then i reccomend David Chan. He speaks very good english, knows a lot and is very friendly! Thanks you David for beeing my guide

We did two different trips with our guide David. First one was to the Bat Cave. Such a amazing cave made by nature. The route was a bit challenging but his help we managed to see everything until the very end of the cave. Another trip was to Tangkahan to visit an elephant conservation. We were able to choose between riding with elephants or only watching. Watching was nice enough for us and it included also washing the elephants which was nice. For us it was very convienient that David took the photos and sent it to us afterwards so we didn't need to worry about it. Thanks for the two excellent trips!

My friend from Bali give me David's contact before we arrive to Sumatra. David met us near our hotel and advice plan on the trip. I want to note the excellent knowledge of the island, which showed David. He adjusted our plan, we were able to catch the most interesting places of the island, and not spend half the journey to a senseless way. In my opinion, without a guide on Sumatra is very difficult to find transport - only local people will be able to agree to the car for the trip provided on time - this is very important! David organized everything for 2-3 hours. David knows the places that are really worth seeing. Many places of tourist guides is not really as interesting as they are described - David is a native islander knows what you need. We spent a delightful day of rafting on the river Tropical, who organized and attended by David. We visited Bukit Lawang National Park too - nice place. No matter what you want - trekking through the jungle, a romantic journey through uninhabited islands around Sumarty, hardcore extreme in the most dangerous rivers of Sumatra - David organizes it all. And David, cool guy btw :)
