  • Day 1: Arrival at Mfuwe Airport expand_more
    • Arrival at Mfuwe Airport. You will be met personally by the Zambian guide and taken to your lodge or camp to relax and unpack.

    • If you arrive in the morning, you will go on an afternoon/night drive together, and the guide will meet you at tea time. 

    • After a short briefing, you will be on your way!

    • Stop at a scenic spot for "sundowners" where you can enjoy Gin and tonic and have some snacks while watching the gorgeous African sun go down before continuing on a night drive!

    • Be back at your lodge/camp at around 19:30 /20:00, maximum, right in time for dinner!

  • Day 2: Start The Photographic "Hunt" expand_more
    • On this full day out together, you will get to know each other more, and the guide will get a good idea of what animals, in particular, you would like to photograph and start our photographic "hunt"! Use checklists and make a priority list of the animals you want to photograph!

    • Stop at around 09:30 for a lovely tea/coffee and cookies break by the river or in the bush.

    • At around 10:30 / 11:00, head back to your lodge/camp so you can enjoy lunch and relax!

    • The afternoon/evening drive will start after tea time, at around 15:00. The guide will find you at your lodge/camp and make sure everyone is happy to leave at the same time. The afternoon/night drive is also very enjoyable to see predators on the hunt! 

    • At 17:30, there will be a stop once again for a G&T or drink and snacks at sundown.

    • By 20:00 maximum, you will be back in time for dinner!

  • Day 3: Luangwa Valley expand_more
    • The third full day together will be fun and educational! The guide will be telling you as many facts about animals as possible, some of which are certain to surprise you! 

    • The time of 09:00 will be the now usual tea/coffee and cookies break.

    • At 10:30, you will be back at your lodge/camp to pack to get ready to move to the next lodge after lunch!

    • As soon as you have finished your meal, you will be on our way to a different lodge so you can enjoy another side of the Luangwa Valley! You will get to relax for a while before we go out again!

    • At 17:30, another relaxing sundowner will take place at a different location.

    • By 20:00 maximum, you will be back "home", right on time for dinner!

  • Day 4: Walking Safari expand_more
    • This day will be all about what you want to see, and what questions you have!  The guide will try to answer all of them if they can and will delight you with my stories of the bush! 

    • Offer you the chance to go on a walking safari! Start with a short drive where you will leave the car and continue on foot, accompanied by a scout from the Zambian Wildlife Authority.

    • The time of 09:30 will be the now usual tea/coffee and cookies break. The coffee/tea porter will carry all the water and snacks you may need! All you need to bring is a hat, sunscreen and binoculars or a camera!

    • At 15:00, the usual afternoon/night drive begins.

    • At 17:30 another relaxing sundowner will take place -maybe by the river watching elephants cross the river or finding a leopard in a tree nearby?

    • By 20:00 maximum, you will be back at your lodge for dinner!

  • Day 5: Mfuwe Area expand_more
    • This day can either be a regular day in the bush or offer you the chance to make it a bit different! It is also the last full day together! By then, you will have shared plenty of stories, so you are encouraged to ask as many remaining questions as you may have!

    • See many children in the Mfuwe area who have never been inside the park, even though it is right on their doorstep! You are offered Impact Safaris, during which guests and choose to take 2 to 4 of such children out on drives with them! They will join you either in the morning, in the afternoon, or both, thus giving them the extraordinary opportunity to take part in an activity usually reserved for tourists!

    • The time of 09:30 will be the now-usual tea/coffee and cookies break.

    • By 10:30 / 11:00, you will be back at your lodge/camp for lunch/siesta.

    • If you wish, the guide can pick you up at 12:30 for a 1 hour 30 min village visit around Mfuwe to local craft shops as well as the local schools.

    • The time of 15:00 marks the beginning of our afternoon/night drive.

    • At 17:30, another relaxing sundowner will take place at a different location.

    • By 20:00 maximum, you will be back "home", right on time for dinner!

  • Day 6: Departure expand_more
    • Depending on what time of day you are leaving, you may be able to enjoy one last game drive together in the morning! In all cases, it would have been a pleasure to meet you and I hope you will have had a fantastic time on this tour. The guide will personally take you to the airport!
