Tour around Johannesburg and Soweto expand_more
Pick up from common points at around 8 AM from hotels in the Johannesberg and Sandton area.
Next, drive past important houses of the city, while driving towards Diepkloof. The wealthy residents of Soweto live in this extension of the former township. We will stop here for tourists to take pictures.
Move on to Johannesberg University, driving past Baragwanath Hospital, and Maponya Mall, the biggest commercial center of Soweto.
Then, stop at Sisulu Square, the site from where African freedom fighters were arrested in 1956. Here, we will also see the freedom charter memorial.
After a brief snack and tea break, tour Soweto's community for 40 minutes, guided by a local.
Continue our journey to Regina Mundi Church, the site where many young students were arrested for protesting against Afrikaans' introduction as a medium of instruction in schools. We then drive by Winnie Mandela's house.
- Next, see the house of Bishop Tutu on Vikalazi Street. We also see Nelson Mandela's home, which is now a National Museum.
- To conclude the tour, visit the Hector Pieterson Museum.
- The tourists will then be dropped off at the common points, from where they were picked up.

In Johannesburg city center, we could show you the highest building in Africa, the Carlton center, Gandhi Square, and the Apartheid Museum. You may also combine some of these trips to make a customized full-day tour.
