  • Day 1 : Visit Ostrich Farms and Cango Wildlife Ranch expand_more
    • Depart from Cape Town and drive through the magnificent Klein Karoo.

    • Experience the beauty of this semi-arid area with its red soils, unique plant life, and, of course, thousands of ostriches. 

    • Go for an optional tour to taste Port Wine in Calitzdorp, the Port Capital of Africa.

    • Visit the Ostrich Farms in the area watch out for the crazy ostrich race. Also, visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch and get a chance to pose with a cheetah.

    Optional: cage diving with crocodiles.

  • Day 2 : Head to Knysna expand_more
    • A hot air balloon trip over the Klein Karoo at sunrise is something that is recommended for a memorable experience in the shadow of the Swartberg Mountains. Else, you can also choose to watch the local families of Meerkats going about their business in the Little Karoo. For those of you who watch Meerkat Manor on TV, this is an opportunity to spend some close moments with these creatures.

    • Just before lunch, we take you to the Mighty Cango Caves. Considered as one of South Africa’s greatest natural wonders, and certainly the most impressive collection of stalagmites and stalactites you are likely to see.

    • In the afternoon, we drive to Knysna, the Oyster Capital of South Africa, via the breathtaking Outeniqua Mountain Pass.

    • If time permits, enjoy a sunset cruise on the estuary. This is really the best way to see the famous Knysna Heads which guard the entrance of the enormous “lagoon”.

    Overnight stay at the accommodation.

  • Day 3 : Enjoy African elephant ride expand_more
    • As the day starts, enjoy a dolphin/whale safari and witness the marine life at its best in a licensed boat off Plettenberg Bay beach.

    • Take an educational walking tour with a pride of lions near George, or take a walk, or an elephant ride through the indigenous forests (on request).

    • Other options include golf, kayaking, horse riding, cycling, hiking or shopping.

    • In the evening, sample some of the freshest oysters you will find at any one of the oyster farms.

    Overnight stay in Knysna.

  • Day 4 : Bungi Jumping at Bloukrans expand_more
    • Let the adventurer in you come out as you visit the World’s Highest Bungi Jumping facility, Bloukrans (216 metres – 7 seconds free-fall) OR

    • Enjoy a private tour of famous forest sanctuary created to rehabilitate animals.

    • Visit the world’s largest free-flight bird aviary with a number of exotic and indigenous species.

    • End the day with a forest walk in a Coastal Reserve called Tsitsikamma and a short cruise in the breathtaking gorge of the Storms River. You can indulge in other adventure options such as black-water tubing, abseiling, kayaking or tree-top canopy tours.

    Overnight stay at Storms River or Knysna.

  • Day 5 : Return to Cape Town expand_more

    OPTION 1

    • Transfer to Port Elizabeth for shopping, sightseeing, or a visit to the casino before you catch your connecting flight. OR

    • Transfer to George airport for the connecting flight to your international destination, to Sun City, or to Kruger National Park.

    OPTION 2

    • Transfer to a luxury lodge only a few minute's drive from Addo National Park, Gorah, Shamwari Game Reserve, Kwandwe, Kariega, or Bushman Sands. Catch the Big Five on camera, and fly out the next day from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg or Durban to continue your South Africa holiday.

    OPTION 3

    • Return to Cape Town with an overnight stop in Mossel Bay. Use the Outeniqua Steam Train to get there, with a little help from our vehicle or drive straight there and visit the Famous Dias Museum Complex. Enjoy more whale watching opportunities!

    OPTION 4

    • Return to Cape Town with an overnight stop at the Garden Route Game Lodge, Sanbona, or Botlierskop.

    • Or, if you spend the night in the picturesque town of Montagu, you will have the opportunity of doing the famous tractor ride that takes you high into the mountains of the Langeberg. You can also get to enjoy lunch in the Robertson district, an optional boat cruise on the Breede River before getting back to Cape Town.

  • No Entry fees are included because the package is completely flexible. Clients can opt for what they want to do. 

  • Entry fees are approximately R100 - R350 per person per day, or we can quote for the specific activities you choose.

Know before you go
  • Advance payment required. Not recommended for children under 4 years. Children 4 to 12 Years have to pay only 75%.

  • Baggage allowed: One suitcase and one shoulder bag. We cannot guarantee the availability and schedule of 3rd party operators.

  • We reserve the right to utilize the services of an alternative service provider. Please note that we cannot guarantee any specific animal sightings or interaction with animals as these animals are all in their natural habitat and wild.

  • This also applies to any product where we advertise interaction with animals in conservation projects. We reserve the right to terminate tour services if children are not behaving properly or causing a disturbance.

  • Entrance fees charged by third-party service providers may be charged for children under 12 years. In order to qualify for children’s rates (when children’s rates are available), the child must be accompanied on the tour by 2 adults. Children under 8 years are only permitted on game drives on a private tour, and on certain tours at the discretion of the guide and third-party service providers.

  • Whilst the itinerary below is recommended, our tours are tailor-made, so you tell us what you’d like to see and we’ll take you there!
