Description

This trekking tour will bring you closer to the shy mountain gorillas of the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. The trip will begin and end in Kampala through Lake Mburo National Park, the Equator, and the farms of the Ankole where you will be able to observe lots of birds, reptiles, and primates.

    • Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport (at any time of the day), you will be received by your guide and transferred to the lodge for the night

  • Day 2: Kampala to Bwindi expand_more

    • Start with a morning drive at 8:00 am to Bwindi via Mbarara. A stopover at Equator crossing for snacks, refreshments, and photography will be made.

    • Lunch en-route will be had at Agip Motel, Mbarara. We then proceed to Bwindi.

    • The afternoon will be spent walking in the midst of local communities around the park, and interacting with them.

  • Day 3: Gorilla Tracking at Bwindi expand_more

    • Start the day with coffee and breakfast, and head for a briefing by the UWA officials. The trek commences at 8 AM. 

    • The ranger guide will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates. Always take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla. Perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences you'll ever go through, this trek that takes 5-6 hours is well worth the effort.

  • Day 4: Bwindi to Entebbe expand_more

    • After an early morning cup of coffee and breakfast, drive from Kampala to Entebbe through Lake Mburo National Park, having lunch at the Igongwa cultural center. You will reach your lodging at Entebbe by the evening.
