Description

Seek the breathtaking moment of spotting gorillas in the wild. Interact with the gorillas on a nature walk. Also, get to know the locals (Batwa), identify how they live, and savour the local delicacies. Be entertained by tribal dance and historical stories.

  • Day 1: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest expand_more
    • Arrive at Entebbe International Airport by a very early morning flight and transfer to your hotel for a short rest. Our driver/guide will pick you from your overnight hotel at about 6:45 am to embark on the drive to Bwindi via Mbarara, with a stopover at the equator crossing for photography. 
    • Continue to make another stop for early lunch at Agip Motel’s restaurant.
    • Thereafter, head to Uganda’s impenetrable forest filled with primates and many exotic birds.

    Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs (High-end lodge) or Silverback Lodge (Moderate facility), or Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget facility)

  • Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking expand_more
    • Kick start a day dedicated to Gorilla tracking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. 
      • Follow the guides into the jungle searching for these shy primates in the group you have been booked for.
      • Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorillas, which is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.
      • Gorilla tours usually involve tracking for about 2 to 8 hours, sometimes under heavy rain.
    • If time allows, on return from the jungle, go for a village walk/community visit. It is a great opportunity to see how the indigenous people live.

  • Day 3: Bwindi – Kampala expand_more
    • After your morning breakfast, drive to Kampala via Kasese-Fort Portal road for a chance to see more of the countryside. With a lunch stopover, continue to get dropped off at your accommodation the next morning.
