Meet your Kiev/Kyiv tour guide near your hotel or any other convenient place and then go to Lavra by metro or taxi. If you choose a metro ride, then you will arrive at the metro Arsenalna.
See the ancient Orthodox Christian monastery of Kiev Pechersk Lavra from the oldest Gate Church of the Trinity. It is decorated in Ukrainian Baroque style with splendid ornaments and well-painted images of saints and monks. The Larva yard consists of gorgeous churches, old cosy monks houses, the Great Lavra Bell Tower, and the Dormition Cathedral.
Climb the Great Lavra Bell Tower, you will see gold domes of the cathedral, the entire Lavra complex and also the huge Dnieper river.
Proceed to see the Dormition Cathedral for its beautiful gold icons. Lavra has a divine service and you can hear charming bell towers ringing.
Go downhill to see underground caves. Candlelight will take you through mystical darkness of passageways with coffins of monks in their majestic dresses. You will learn why the Soviet government was not able to take relics away and why monks choose to live in the underground caves here. The Caves of Saint Anthony are historic caves and network of tunnels here.
Visit the Museum of Historical Treasures of Ukraine. This museum keeps one of the richest Scythian art collections from the 4th century BC and other historic paintings and sculptures. Here, you will find many precious metal objects, including a unique gold pectoral where two miniature men are sewing their clothes with an invisible needle.

Dress code is required to enter Lavra monastery. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. Recommend ladies wear a kerchief and skirt. But in case you haven't a kerchief and skirt, you can borrow them on the reception desk.
