Description

Go on a trek to Marangu, a town located in the Kilimanjaro Region. Follow the Marangu Route, also known as the Coca Cola route, the easiest and the shortest route to the Kilimanjaro summit. Explore the wonderful views of nature and that of the unique flora and fauna on the way.

    • Pickup from the hotel in Moshi.

    • Drive to Marangu with a packed lunch box.

    • Arrive at the gates at Marangu and hike for approximately 3-4 hours to the first hut at Mandara, 2720 meters from the mountain's base. 

    • Take a lunch break and explore the stunning wildlife in the surrounding region. 

    • Walk for 15 minutes to the Moundi crater top and have a nice view of the Mawenzi peak, Uhuru peak, Lake Chala, Lake Jipe and the village down. 

    • Descent to Marangu gate and drive back to Moshi.
