    • Meet your Tanzanian safari guide and depart for Selous Game Reserve. The journey to Selous will take about 5 to 6 hours. 

    • Stop for a quick lunch in Kibiti.

    • Upon arrival, go for an afternoon boat safari along the Great Rufiji River.

    • Observe the hippos, crocodiles and various species of birds during the cruise.

    • Dinner and overnight at the Hippo Camp (outside the reserve).

  • Day 2: Selous Game Reserve expand_more

    • Go for a full-day game drive with the tour guide inside the Selous Game Reserve.

    • Capture the wild animals in their natural habitat and explore the different sections of the park. Selous is famous for its elephants, lions, wild dogs, buffalos, bushbuck, impalas, baboons, zebras, and wildebeest.

    • Dinner and overnight at the Hippo Camp (outside the reserve).

  • Day 3: Selous Game Reserve to Dar es Salaam expand_more

    • Wake up early in the morning and have a cup of coffee or tea.

    • Go out for a wilderness walking safari with the guidance of an armed ranger.

    • During the walking safari, imbibe the true essence of nature and African wild animals. You will get to see several small animals that are not usually visible during game drives.

    • After the walking safari, go back to the camp/ lodge for breakfast.

    • Transfer to Dar es Salaam with lunch pack.

    • Drop off at the hotel, ferry or airport for the next destination.

Know before you go

  • The rainy season is from mid of March to the end of May. Most of the lodges and camps are closed, and it is difficult to drive in the reserve. From 15th March to 20th May, we will not accept any inquiry for Selous Game Reserve.
