Go on a wildlife safari to Mikumi National Park and Ruaha National Park from Zanzibar in Tanzania.     • You can try bird-watching as more than 400 different species of birds also inhabit the park.
    • Have packed lunch and dinner during the safari. 
    • Return to your lodge.

  • Day 3: Masai Village- Ruaha National Park expand_more
    • Drive to Masai Village after breakfast at 8.00. 
    • Spend time at the Masai Village and meet with the locals, then drive to Ruaha.
    • Halt for lunch on the way. 
    • Arrive at Ruaha National Park and go for an evening Game Drive. 

    Overnight stay in a lodge in the Park.

  • Day 4: Ruaha National Park expand_more
    • Have an early morning breakfast and go for a full day Game Drive in Ruaha National park.
    • Spot wild animals like lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes, zebras, elands, impala, bat-eared foxes, jackals, wild dogs, kudu, sable and roan antelopes.
    • Look for amphibians as the park also harbours a number of reptiles and amphibians such as crocodiles, poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, monitor lizards, agama lizards and frogs.

    Overnight stay at a lodge in the Park. 

  • Day 5: Ruaha National Park- Dar-es-salaam expand_more
    • Go for a half-day game Drive in Ruaha National Park.
    • Try bird-watching early in the morning. 
    • Drive to Dar-es-salaam.
    • Halt for lunch on the way. 
    • Have dinner and spend the night in a hotel in Dar-es-salaam.
  • Day 6: Dar-es-salaam- Zanzibar expand_more
    • Have an early morning breakfast and get picked up by your driver. 
    • Arrive at the Ferry Terminal at 07.00 am and leave for Zanzibar. 
    • Reach Zanzibar and get dropped off at the hotel.

What to bring
  • T-shirts and tank tops

  • Warm fleece sweater or jacket for cold weather, especially early in the morning and late at night
  • A swimsuit if your hotel has a swimming pool
  • Pyjamas
  • Stick to neutral or khaki colours and avoid wearing dark blue or black clothes as these colours tend to attract flies
  • Wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses and bug spray are a must
Know before you go
  • Cell/Mobile phones - You can buy a sim card and use your own cell for communication and internet use. Please ask our guide for assistance.
  • ATMs – There are few ATMs in big hotels or at the airport that support Visa or Mastercard cards for cash withdrawals.
  • Cash – The best currency to bring is US dollars. US$50 and US$100 bills get better rates of exchange than smaller denominations (and other currencies). However, you are advised to leave large bills at the hotel safes and carry small bills ($10 or $20 )
  • Valuable items - like any other big city, carrying expensive items, like iPads, iPhones, etc, can be risky when walking on the streets, but they are safe when in the hotel.
  • Security at the parks - When travelling in the National Parks, our guides are trained to put your security and protection from wildlife first. They will warn you if it is not safe to get out of the safari vehicle.
  • Photography - Do not take photographs of border posts or military/police posts, or government buildings.
