    • You will be picked up from your place in Dar es Salaam by your tour guide. Start driving to Mikumi and cross the Tanzania Coastal regions. 
    • Visit the Masai village and go for an evening game drive.

  • Day 2: Mikumi National Park expand_more
    • Meet your guide at your accommodation at 8:00 am and drive for a game drive safari with your lunch packed. Antelope sightings are common in Mikumi National Park. You can even see eland, the world's largest antelope and other animals like Zebra, wildebeest, impala and buffalo.
    • Drive back to the camp during sunset.

    Dinner and overnight at the camp.

  • Day 3: Mikumi National Park - Saadani National Park expand_more
    • Meet your guide at 08:00 am to depart from Mikumi National Park and start driving to Saadani National Park.
    • Go for an evening game drive in the park. Saadani National Park is the only national park in Africa that boasts a view of the Indian Ocean. You can spot warthogs, common waterbucks, reedbucks, hartebeests, wildebeests, red duikers, greater kudus, leopards, spotted hyenas and black-backed jackals

  • Day 4: Saadani National Park expand_more
    • Go for an early morning game drive in the park at 06:30 am with your packed breakfast.
    • Return to the camp at 12:00 pm and enjoy the beach for the rest of the day until evening.

  • Day 5: Departure expand_more
    • Drive back to Dar es salaam and have lunch on the way.
    • You will be dropped off at your place in Dar es salaam.

Know before you go
  • Cell/Mobile phones - You can buy a sim card and use your own cell/mobile phone for communication and the internet. Please ask our guide for assistance.
  • ATMs – There are few ATMs in big hotels or at the airport that support Visa or MasterCard cards for cash withdrawals.
  • Cash – The best currency to bring is US dollars. US$50 and US$100 bills get better rates of exchange than smaller denominations (and other currencies). However, you are advised to leave large bills at the hotel safes, and carry small bills ($10 or $20).
  • Valuable items - like any other big city, carrying expensive things, like iPads, iPhones, etc can be risky when walking on the streets, but they are safe when in the hotel. 
  • Security at the parks - When traveling in the National Parks our guides are trained to put your security and protection from wildlife first. They will warn you if it is not safe to get out of the safari vehicle.
  • Photography - Do not take photographs of border posts or military/police posts, government buildings, and people (unless they have agreed). Before taking a photograph of a local it is respectful to ask permission first. Often, a small payment ($5) is expected.
  • Drinking water - Tap water is not safe to drink, please use bottled mineral water to drink and even to brush your teeth.
  • Covid 19 information – The borders are opened to all International visitors to visit Tanzania and Zanzi
