- The day kicks off with a cooking class where we’ll be learning how to make mandazi (sweet doughnuts) and cook ugali (a staple food in Tanzania).
- Whilst you’re honing your new craft, your guide will tell you all about the culinary specialties of Tanzania and what the locals eat on a daily basis. Then it comes to eating! There are some certain customs to observe if you want to blend in and avoid offence. Did you know you should never smell your food here? And there is an art to eating ugali with only your right hand!
- After class, we’ll head to the fresh produce market, where the guide will introduce you to locally grown fruits and vegetables – challenge the guide to find you something you’ve never tasted before. The guide won't fail you!
- Finally, we’ll make a stop at the guide's personal favourite places to grab some of the most iconic delicacies on offer.
