Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha expand_more
Be welcomed at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to the hotel.
Get a briefing from the head guide about climbing, equipment for camping, and the local team.
Overnight at the hotel with full board accommodation.

Day 2: Arusha to Londorossi Gate (2250m) to Mti Mkubwa (2750 m) expand_more
After breakfast, proceed to the Londorossi Gate.
After getting the permit for entrance and meeting the team (guides, cook, and porters), weigh the luggage, and start trekking for 5-5.5 hours to Mti Mkubwa camp.The zone is forest.
Overnight at the camp in the tent with full board accommodation.

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp (3600m) expand_more
After breakfast, move to Shira 1. The zone is savannah and steep for some parts.
If the weather is clear, get wonderful views of Kibo, Mount Meru, and Mawenzi mountain. The walking takes 5-6 hours, with hot lunch at the camp.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp (3840m) expand_more
After breakfast, move to Shira 2. The zone is savannah .
If the weather is clear, get wonderful views of Kibo, Mount Meru, and Mawenzi mountain. The walking takes 3-4 hours, with hot lunch at camp.

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp (3950m) expand_more
After breakfast, move to Barranco camp. The zone is savannah one part; the other part is desert.
Before arriving at the camp, go past Lava tower (4600m) to acclimatize. Take hot lunch before descending towards the camp.
If the weather is clear, get wonderful views of Kibo, Mount Meru, and Mawenzi mountain. The walking takes 6-7 hours, with hot lunch at the camp.

Day 6: Barranco to Barafu Camp (4600m) expand_more
After breakfast, move to Barafu hut.
In the beginning, climb the wall of Barranco in one hour and go past Karanga for hot lunch before arriving at Barafu. The zone is savannah and desert, steep, and plain. The walking takes 6h to7h.

Day 7: Barafu to Uhuru Peak (5895m) to Mweka Hut (3100m) expand_more
After dinner, sleep early.
Wake up at midnight for the final preparation and take a cup of tea with a biscuit.
Begin to walk slowly.
Since the area is steep, climb in zig-zag motion for 6-7 hours to reach the summit.
Enjoy the wonderful view of the sunrise, see Mawenzi mountain, Usambaa mountain & Mount Meru.
After spending some time at the summit, go back to camp (3-4h for descent) for a short break and take a full breakfast.
Pack everything, and continue to descend (4h to Mweka camp).

Day 8: Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate (1700m) expand_more
After breakfast, depart towards Mweka gate to meet the driver for transfer back to the hotel. Certificates will be given to those who reached the summit. The descent takes 3-3.5 hours, with full board.
