Begin in the Lake Manyara National Park, home to a diverse range of animals, including elephants, lions, zebras, and buffalo. Head to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park to witness the Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles in action. Visit the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is home to a vast array of wildlife, including lions, hyenas, and giraffes. Lastly, take full-day game drives in Tarangire National Park and Arusha National Park.

  • Day 1: Moshi - Lake Manyara National Park expand_more
    • After breakfast in the morning, leave Moshi Town and drive to Lake Manyara National Park (206km, 4-5 hours). 
    • Enjoy afternoon game drives. Common animals likely to see is giraffes, zebras, elephants, tree-climbing lions, leopard, warthogs, hyenas, buffaloes, baboons, blue and vervet monkeys and several species of birds, including the lesser/greater flamingos, pelicans, storks etc. on the lake. 
    • Later in the evening, drive to a lodge/campsite outside the park.

    Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2: Serengeti National Park expand_more
    • Leave the lodge/campsite in the morning after breakfast with your picnic lunch and drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area (190km, 4-6 hrs as the road is sometimes very rough). 
    • The game drive will be en route to a campsite in the Seronera area at the heart of the park for dinner and overnight. Common animals likely to view are wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, hippos, leopards, cheetahs, eland, warthogs, hyenas, buffaloes, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons and several species of birds.
  • Day 3: Serengeti National Park expand_more
    • A full day inside the Serengeti National Park with game drives in different locations.
    • Later drive back to the lodge/campsite.

    Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 4: Ngorongoro Consrvation Area expand_more
    • Early morning game drives before breakfast. See the sunrise if it is on a clear day, as it is an attraction there on the endless plains and you will probably spot the nocturnal animals as they are returning to their dens. 
    • After breakfast, go on the final game drive on the way out of the park to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater to a lodge/campsite (175km, 4-5 hrs), which overlooks the crater for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 5: Ngorongoro crater expand_more
    • After breakfast in the morning, descend the 600m high crater walls to the crater floor with your picnic lunch. 
    • Explore this fantastic area until later in the afternoon, ascend the crater and drive back to the lodge/campsite for dinner and overnight. Common animals likely to see on the crater are rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, hippos, hyenas, buffaloes, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons and several species of birds, including the heaviest flying bird (kori bustard) and the smallest flying one (larks).
  • Day 6: Empakaai Crater expand_more
    • Take an early morning walking tour to Empakaai Crater, one of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area’s eight craters. This walking tour helps you stretch your legs after days of sitting in the car. It allows you to sample virgin trails with abundant bird life and impressive vistas. 

    Dinner and overnight at a lodge/campsite.

  • Day 7: Tarangire National Park expand_more
    • Leave the campsite/lodge in the morning after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park (60km-1 hr). 
    • Half-day game drive and late afternoon drive to a lodge/campsite in Arusha. Common animals found in this park are elephants, cheetahs, wildebeests, elands, zebras, lions, leopards, giraffes, tree-climbing pythons and many species of birds. This park is also heavily dominated by giant baobab trees, one of the longest-living trees in the wilderness.
  • Day 8: Arusha National Park expand_more
    • Leave the lodge/campsite after breakfast and drive to Arusha National Park (40km-1hr). 
    • Full-day game drives in that beautiful park, and later in the evening, drive to Moshi/Arusha or to the airport. Common animals like to see in this park are giraffes, zebras, bushbucks, warthogs, hyenas, buffaloes, rare black and white monkeys, blue monkeys, and several species of birds.
