    • Meet your guides at the airport and transfer to our boutique hotel, where you can spend the day relaxing. 
    • If you feel energetic, you can jump straight into the action with a rejuvenating yoga session and a walk through Karura Forest in search of Nairobi’s elusive monkeys.
  • Day 2 : Wildlife & Tommy Nyawir expand_more
    • After morning yoga, head toward the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Nairobi Giraffe Centre. This is your chance
    • to get up close and personal with these incredible animals. If you are lucky, you might even get a kiss from Ed the giraffe. 
    • After lunch, be inspired by Tommy Nyawir and the heart-warming Mirror of Hope, a community-based organisation empowering vulnerable children living in Africa’s largest slum by keeping them in school.
  • Day 3 : Kibera Immersion expand_more
    • Gena will lead us in a mindful meditation in preparation for a day exploring the sights and sounds of Africa’s largest slum. 
    • Visit the home of your sponsor student, meet their family and feast on a delicious Kenyan lunch that you will learn to cook. This will be one of the most immersive, connecting experiences of your life. It is a great chance to learn about Kenyan culture, practice your Swahili, and meet some incredibly resilient people.
  • Day 4 : Masai Mara expand_more
    • Embark on a wildlife safari in Masai Mara. One of Africa’s best safari destinations, the Mara is home to Africa’s most exotic safari animals. It is also home to the greatest show on earth - the Great Migration - a natural spectacle like no other. 
    • After your first exciting safari drive, we head towards our secluded luxury wildlife camp. Arrive in time for a warm shower and relaxing evening around the open fire.
  • Day 5 : Masai Mara Safari & Yoga Session expand_more
    • Wake up early to begin searching for Africa’s greatest predators, who are also on the hunt for a nutritious wildebeest breakfast. You can also expect to see many of the other exotic African animals today, and if you are lucky, you might even spot a rhino. 
    • Meet Gena again for a yoga session. With so much morning excitement, your body will be craving a deep stretch, a little meditation and a thorough reconnection. 
  • Day 6 : Masai Mara Safari & Yoga Session expand_more
    • Start your day with a wildlife safari. Each year a million wildebeest brave the Mara River’s crocodile-infested waters in their search for greener grass. This is the greatest natural spectacle on earth, and although it is dependent on annual timing, this region offers fantastic wildlife viewing all year round. 
    • In the afternoon, return for yoga and another relaxing evening, swapping stories around the open fire.
  • Day 7 : Masai Mara expand_more
    • Set off on a safari searching for the BIG 5 - lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino. While it is common to see some of these animals, finding all 5 can be a challenge, so make sure you bring binoculars. 
    • After lunch, Gena will lead another yoga or meditation session before enjoying the final night in the magical Masai Mara.
  • Day 8 : Return to Nairobi expand_more
    • After a final morning game drive, head back to the bright lights of Nairobi. This will be your final night in Kenya and the perfect occasion to celebrate with new friends who have shared this unforgettable, enriching, and rejuvenating journey.
  • Day 9 : Catch the Flight to Rwanda expand_more
    • Spend the day packing, relaxing or meditating with Gena before boarding your flight to Kigali, Rwanda, to begin your gorilla adventure.
  • Day 10 : Rwandan Genocide Visit (optional) expand_more
    • Learn about the Rwandan Genocide. Between 7 April and 15 July 1994, one million Tutsi’s lost their lives in one of the worst genocides in history. This morning is your chance to learn from this tragedy and to pay your respects to those who lost their lives. 
    • In the afternoon, transfer to Mutanda Lake Resort, Uganda.
  • Day 11 : Gorilla Trekking expand_more
    • Head into the forest searching for mountain gorillas that live in forests at elevations of 2,000 - 4,000m. They have thicker fur than other great apes, which helps them survive in a habitat where temperatures often drop below freezing. Approximately 1,000 of these fascinating creatures left globally, and Bwindi National Park in Uganda is home to about 400 of them. 
  • Day 12 : Make your own Adventure expand_more

    Make your own adventure. Swim in Mutanda Lake, trek with golden monkeys, spend another day with the gorillas, practice yoga with Gena or relax with a bottle of red wine.

    Free morning to pack, practice yoga, and make the most of the picturesque surroundings you find yourself in before heading to Kigali for your final evening in Africa.
