Take a short budget-friendly wildlife tour in one of the most amazing national parks and the fourth largest in Tanzania. The Mikumi landscape is sometimes compared to that of the Serengeti as it has vast, wide-open savanna plains. Watch out for the various game and enjoy overnight camping in this 2-day safari!

    • Get picked up from a predecided point in Dar es Salaam at 6:00 am and depart for Mikumi National Park where you will arrive in the morning.

    • Check in to the camp and have hearty lunch.

    • After lunch, leave for afternoon safari until sunset game drive. Mikumi is home to elephant, lion, wild dog, zebras, hyena, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, hartebeest, crocodile, lizard and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

    Overnight stay in the camp.

  • Day 2: Game Drive at Mikumi & Departure expand_more

    • Have breakfast and leave with your lunch box for early morning game drive.

    • Mikumi’s vegetation includes woodland, swamp and grassland with two water holes, Mkata and Chamgore.

    • Apart from the saddle-bill stork, hammer kop and malachite kingfisher, you will also find monitor lizard and a deadly python inhabiting the pools.

    • Lunch to be served inside the park.

    • Later, set out for the return journey to Dar es Salaam. Expect to arrive late evening and drop off at the airport or hotel.
