abdelkarim touati

Mr. Abdelkarim Touati was recommended to us by a Tunisian colleague. 

His knowledge of Phoenician, Carthagian,  Punic, Roman  and more recent Tunisian history was encyclopeadic and well presented.  He is also a member of the Tunisian historical/Museum society and multi-lingual. 

His English was excellent.

He is a runner, so we chose to tour Carthage and the Carthaginian & Roman cultural and historical sites on foot - also highly recommended.  He was just as willing to lead a bike or taxi-between-sites tour.

We started the tour knowing a reasonable level of Carthaginian history and left  happily knowing a great deal more. 

Being in the  the context of  the physical  Carthage with an historical and cultural expert was an extra-ordinary experience.  He was able to dive deeply into history and culture as requested - which, of course, we frequently did.

Abdelkarim's  tour leading style was  friendly , communicative,very interesting and inclusive.
