Our family (2 adults and 2 teenager girls) just finished a 17 days trip with Ruwan as our driver and guide. We covered a large part of Sri Lanka and would like to provide our sincere feedback about our experiences. To put it in one word: EXCELLENT! We have travelled extensively in Asia before and know how difficult it can be to find a person you can rely on when it comes to providing services for tourists. Very often commercial interests are mixed with genuine service delivery and it can be difficult to separate the sincere guys from the not so good guys. So looking for a good driver and guide in Sri Lanka is certainly not easy. There are dozens if not hundreds of offerings on the internet, and most of them are around USD 50.00 per day. We have been very fortunate to find Ruwan. He combines many important qualities that we expected for our vacation: he is a safe and cautious driver, is very knowledgable about the history, culture and nature of Sri Lanka (in addition to be our driver he also doubled up as official guide), speaks very good English, is always punctual, has a good sense of humour and has a very nice personality. Everything we had agreed on in advance worked out perfectly. Ruwan even phoned us a few days before our arrival to reconfirm that everything was still on schedule.The pick-ups from and to the airport worked well, we completed without stress our daily programs, we always got good advices about last minute alternative itinerary options and always got on time to the hotels we had reserved in advance. Running his own company, Ruwan is very attentionate to your needs, keeps his car in very good condition and is genuinely interested in providing good services. If we ever come back to Sri Lanka we would choose Ruwan's services again without hesitation. In that sense we recommend Ruwan 100%.
