Dennis Shayo

I climbed with Dennis to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro during a G-Adventures 10-Day Lemosho Trek. Dennis is a spectacular guide and one of the 'best of the best.' He has a wealth of experience all over the mountain in various roles, is properly trained as a guide and wilderness first responder, and has employed a variety of these skills on the mountain. In addition to his superb abilities, he has a great attitude that is compatible with anyone on the group. During the summit night, after I felt dizzy, Dennis recognized my condition and assisted me with my bag for 8+ hours. We made it to the top, but on the way down, my condition worsened. Dennis, using his experience and training, further assisted me by helping guide me down to a lower elevation safely. Despite my poor physical condition, Dennis was patient, let me rest, and remained calm. I made it down to the base camp safely and quickly recovered. Dennis is the guide that you want on your trip. He has a fun, welcoming personality and an extraordinary amount of experience that he employs for the benefit of the group. Based on my personal experience, I highly recommend that you let him lead you to the top of the mountain!
