Mogamat Toffar

We have just returned from an amazing day with Mo as our guide. As we had limited time to experience Cape Town, we wanted to squeeze as much as possible into one day. Mo was extremely flexible and at the last minute was happy to fit in a visit to Table Mountain at the beginning of our tour (and I would strongly advise buying tickets in advance as the queues were horrendous even at 8.30 in the morning on a Monday!) We were blessed with a beautiful clear day and he picked us up promptly from our hotel at 8am advising us that we should leave early to avoid the long lines. The vehicle was extremely comfortable for the four of us and I’m sure he can organise larger transport if needed. At all times we felt safe and looked after. His driving was great and his knowledge of the history of the area was broad and entertaining. He took us along the most magnificent coastal drives, stopping for photos and giving us a running commentary of the areas visited. We arrived at The Cape of Good Hope, which was again magnificent and we were intrigued by the many seals sunning themselves on rocks just meters off the coast line. He then booked us in for the best seafood lunch by the ocean at Seaforth before visiting the penguins at Boulder Beach. We saw native animals, birds, Ostriches and an abundance of South African flora. What more can I say, if you are looking for an alternative to cruise ship bus outings, with your own personal driver, have no fear that you can rely on Mo to offer you a wonderful tour at a very affordable price with great communication and an ability to tailor it to your own personal wishes. Thankyou for a fantastic day Mo. 10 out of 10 from the four Aussies.

Stin Safari

We have used Tourhq for several trips recently and were so happy that we found Stin to be our guide for Maputo in Mozambique. His communication was excellent and he answered all our questions promptly. He was friendly, spoke excellent English and his vehicle was spacious and clean and as we found that we could fit in another two from our cruise, we ended up being six altogether. He promptly met us at the dock and as we didn’t have much of an idea what to see in Maputo, we left it up to him to lead us. At all times we felt safe and secure in his hands. We felt free to ask questions and always got a clear and honest answer, explaining much about the history, culture and life in Mozambique. The sites we visited were varied and interesting, including the Fort, the Central Market, the Botanical Gardens, and the Museum of Natural History, which was quite amazing and a must see! As we were on a cruise, it’s important to be back at the ship with time to spare and Stin was very respectful of this and had us back at the dock in plenty of time. All of us would happily recommend him as your guide not only in Maputo but elsewhere.

San taxi ltd/beau holiday

We have used Tourhq for several trips recently and chose Mr San of SanTaxi to be our guide for Mauritius. His communication was excellent and he answered all our questions promptly. He was friendly, spoke good English and his vehicle was spacious, clean and comfortable for four of us. In the back he had a Karaoke machine which he used along the way and encouraged us all to join in …… if it’s too loud just ask him to turn it down or off !! He picked us up as arranged from our port on time and even took video/photos for us at the different stops along the way so that he could send them to us. (Don’t miss the fish market!) He didn't speed and even when we got stuck in traffic on the way back to the boat due to horrific rain (and it was indeed torrential!!), he took the short cuts that he knew and did everything he could possibly do to make sure that we arrived back at the dock in time, which we did ….. just make sure you keep an eye on the time as the last thing you want is to be late back if you are on a cruise! He took us to all the previously discussed places and arranged for the tickets that we needed to go into the Sugar/Rum factory and waited patiently whilst we took our time at all the various stops. The restaurant he took us to for lunch is to be highly recommended and everyone enjoyed their meals ... he appeared with umbrellas to get us back to the car and (he even had a coffee machine in the back of the vehicle for coffee after lunch). Thanks for a great day.

We have used Tourhq for excursions from off a cruise ship recently and were very lucky that we found Anthony to be our guide for Colombo in Sri Lanka. His communication was excellent prior to our arrival and he answered all our questions promptly. He was reliable, friendly, spoke excellent English and his vehicle was spacious and clean and as we found that we could fit in another two from our cruise, we ended up being six altogether. He promptly met us at the dock and showed us a great variety of the sights of Colombo, with a stop at the beach where we couldn’t resist a meeting with a python! At all times we felt safe and secure in his hands and he gave us plenty of time to wander and explore. As we were on a cruise, it’s important to be back at the ship with time to spare and he was very respectful of this and had us back at the dock in plenty of time. All of us would happily recommend him to be your guide.

Ashintha Lakshan

We have used Tourhq for excursions off of a cruise recently and were lucky that we found Ashinta Lakshan tours to be our guide. We had originally organised to be picked up in Galle, Sri Lanka but unfortunately as it was a tender port, the ship decided that it was no longer appropriate to go there that day and we would be going on to Hambantota instead. Whilst we had a great tour organised for Galle, Ashinta immediately offered to take us to wherever we wanted to go in Hambantota instead. Hambantota is largely a national parks tour destination for wildlife or for birds. As the wildlife tour is always exceptionally busy, we opted for the bird sanctuary and we were not disappointed. There was hardly any traffic within the park and I think we only saw two other vehicles. Our guide picked us up in a clean, modern vehicle which comfortably catered for our four people, his driving was at all times safe and reliable. He was only too happy to help us in any way he could, the communication was excellent both prior to and during the visit. When we got to the park, we were transferred to a four wheel drive truck along with a local park guide and driver who escorted us the entire time explaining everything we wanted to know and stopping on numerous occasions for photos and questions. The park also borders the ocean where we saw local fishermen and views of the magnificent coast line. After the tour our guide took us back through Hambantota for a drive towards Galle, where we were treated to an experience of the cultural side of the area including resident monkeys jumping from building to building, local road side stalls selling fish and fruit and he even took us for lunch at a great lakeside, open air restaurant focused on local healthy produce. I can’t praise him enough and encourage you to use his services when in Sri Lanka for tours anywhere in the region of Galle and Hambantota or elsewhere, as he can organise longer tours throughout Sri Lanka. We had a great day and would do it all again. Thankyou!
