SULTANAHMET OLD CİTY TRAVEL AGANCY
I did the 7-day Amazing Turkey Tour in November 2021 and had a great time! What really impressed me and made the difference for me on this trip was how flexible and customizable the itinerary was. The tour can start on any day because it’s not a single group tour, but rather a series of independent day tours with transfers and accommodations arranged and included between the tours. At the end of this tour, I was planning on spending two more days in Istanbul, which the company arranged for me at minimal additional cost (it wouldn’t have been economical for me to book this separately on my own, especially since it still included the airport transfer on the last day). However, my first full day tour was Hagia Sophia/Grand Bazaar/Topkapi Palace/Hippodrome/Sultanahmet Mosque in Istanbul. These places were so amazing and important to visit, but as a woman traveling alone, I quickly realized that I didn’t like how hectic and chaotic Istanbul was – after a few days I decided I didn’t want to go back to Istanbul, so Sultanahmet Old City Travel helped me arrange to stay in Izmir for the last two days (much better for me!) and still make it on time for my flight out of Istanbul. But all the other tour locations and cities were great for me and exactly as described in the itinerary. I loved Cappadocia, Kusadasi, Pamukkale and Ephesus! The hotels (Perula in Istanbul, Medusa Cave in Cappadocia and Efe Boutique in Kusadasi) were all excellent and all the transfers and flights were perfectly coordinated – the logistics blew my mind; I definitely couldn’t have coordinated so many tours and excursions on my own in the same amount of time. I traveled alone and the cost of a single room wasn’t that much, but I can’t believe how good of a deal this trip is for a couple or a group! I think it would be even better if you traveled as a couple or a group, because the only negative I experienced when traveling alone (aside from the Istanbul depression!) was that the three evenings after the tours when I had flights were a bit lonely and boring - traveling with a friend or family will give you someone to laugh with and talk about your adventures with while in transit! Still, the evenings when I had free time were good, because there was so much to explore around the hotels in the various cities - shops, restaurants, etc. I would definitely recommend Tour Altinkum to anyone planning a trip to Türkiye, especially if it's their first time or they want to see as much as possible in a short amount of time! I would also recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to customize your tour. The company is very flexible and I think if I went again, I would probably spend extra days in Cappadocia and Kusadasi just to relax and unwind! Thanks, Sultanahmet Old CityTravel, I had a great time in Türkiye!
