Mohammed was a very good guide for Oman. He discussed the itinerary at length with me before we arrived, confirming finer details with patience and speed. He picked us up at the airport on time and drove us around Muscat, taking in the best tourist sites, haggling for us at the market (thank you!) and taking us for lovely local food. He took us for a short visit into the desert, a few local villages, answering questions and explaining the irrigation system and allowing us to wander at our leisure. He also took us to some wonderful view points and was on hand to take some great pics! Mohammed then took us to our next hotel in the mountains, he had to drive through a storm to ascend the mountain in the dark with limited visibility. Hat off to him, he drove carefully, slowly and ensured we arrived safely, it was a hairy journey. He picked us up the next day to go back down the mountain to visit Nizwa, he took us to the market, helped us buy some of the best local herbs, spices and dates! And onto the palace & fort and then back up the mountain for some local food. Mohamed is competitively priced, kept in contact on WhatsApp, confirming pick up times etc. he is reliable, punctual and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
