Description
It's impossible to miss the famous Amalfi Coast when you plan a trip in this part of Italy.
Pick up at your hotel and departure to the famous and breath-taking Amalfi Coast, world heritage site since 1997. The Amalfi Coast includes twelve municipalities and multiple historical-artistic testimonies that represent its identity of origins: from the Roman villas of Minori and Positano of the 1st century AD. to the public and private medieval architecture, from the precious goldsmith's and handicrafts kept inside churches and museums, to the naturalistic wonders of the Valley of the Mills and to the majolica domes of Vietri, teaches of a ceramic craftsmanship famous in the world. Everywhere the lemon gardens, which throughout the year dot the dark green of the foliage on the sides of the mountain that falls towards the sea and merges with the colors of the water, which along this coast change continuously between the blue, the indigo, the emerald.
Our first stop will be Sorrento, a fisherman borgo that during the 18th century became the preferred destination of the young European aristocrats doing the Grand Tour. The we’ll continue to Positano, colourful pearl of the coast where we’ll have approx. 1hr free time. Our next stop will be Amalfi, the powerful ancient maritime republic, birthplace of poets, heroes and of Torquato Tasso, inventor of compass. No visit of the coast can be considered complete without visiting Ravello, the city of music. Lying on the top of the hill over Amalfi, here famous poets and painters have lived creating their masterpieces, among them the composer Wagner who wrote here “The Parsifal” or the German poet “Goethe”: we wrote a wonderful sentence summarizing what Ravello means: “the day a guy from Ravello dies is a normal day, because he lived all life in heaven already”…
