At 1 p.m. board the comfortable speedboat and cruise down to the mouth of the sea to see the Kaget Island inhabited by the endemic Proboscis monkeys. On this island, there are around a hundred of these monkeys; a lot of males, seventy females and their young ones.
Use a pair of binoculars to spot these reddish-brown arboreal Old World monkeys, their distinctive features-their fleshy pendulum nose to attract mates.
Take a walk through the villages of the rural areas situated along the river before returning to Hotel Roditha in Banjarmasin.
