Embark on this journey of trekking through the most scenic landscapes and mountains of Tajikistan, where you will pass through the enchanting paths of the Varzob and Morguzar ranges. Witness the serene beauty of the Allouddin and Kulikalon lakes, and visit the grand Hissar Fortress, a 25,000-year-old grand historic fortress used as the resting place by the rich merchant's caravans.

  • Day 1- Arrive in Dushanbe expand_more
    • Meet the tour guide at the International Airport of Dushanbe and transfer to the hotel. 
    • Do the registration at the hotel, settle in and head out to explore the city of Dushanbe.
  • Day 2- Visit the Varzob and Morguzor Gorges expand_more
    • Visit the Hissar Fortress. Have lunch (national cuisine), and go towards the Varzob gorge. Through the mountain road (tunnels) we reach the Sarvoda fork. 
    • Drive into the Morguzor gorge, and along the mountain road reach the alpine camp "Vertical". Our walking tour begins from the court. 

    Spend the night in an alpine camp.

  • Day 3- Learn about the Beautiful Allouddin Lake expand_more
    • Have breakfast at 8:30. After breakfast, 1.5-hour hike to the lake. 
    • Organise the camp on the shore of the lake. Have lunch.
    • Walk around and learn about the history (legend) of Allouddin Lake, which is flanked by several of the highest peaks of the Fann Mountains. Allauddin Lake is among the most mesmerizing sites, with several other pristine lakes surrounding it. The Kulikalon Lakes are another heavenly place. These idyllic lakes are spread out over a plateau at an altitude of 2800 meters that stretches over several square kilometres on a background of towering rock cliffs. 
    • Enjoy a bonfire under the stars.
  • Day 4- Hike to the Allouddin Pass expand_more
    • Have breakfast at 8:30, and prepare for a hiking trip towards the Allouddin pass. Have lunch over the pass at the sight of mountain beauties. 
    • Descend towards Kulikalon lakes and camp on the shore of the lake. 

    Dinner at 18:30.

  • Day 5- See the Highlights of Panjrud expand_more
    • Have breakfast at 8:00. After that, descend towards the village Artuch. 
    • Transfer to Panjrud - a visit to the museum and tomb of the great poet and writer, the founder of classical Tajik literature A. Rudaki. Stop for lunch at a roadside restaurant. 
    • Arrive in Dushanbe by 17:00.

  • The Fann Mountains in northwest Tajikistan are one of the most scenic parts of the country. The region is home to beautiful lakes and green valleys tucked between mountains over 5000 meters high. Trekking opportunities are endless, and exploring the entire area at once is impossible. Located only a few hours from Dushanbe, the Fann Mountains offer a quick getaway from the fuss and heat of the capital Dushanbe. They are particularly renowned for hosting magnificent lakes. Iskanderkul is the largest lake and reaches depths of 72 meters. Named after Alexander the Great, Iskanderkul is one of the iconic places of Tajikistan. Another iconic place is Allauddin Lake. The Kulikalon Lakes are another heavenly place. These idyllic lakes are spread out over a plateau at an altitude of 2800 meters that stretches over several square kilometres on a background of towering rock cliffs. 
  • The Fann Mountains' ecosystem has its own character regarding vegetation and wildlife. The high mountain crests in the area form natural barriers that allow for unique biodiversity to develop. Juniper trees are most characteristic of the Fann Mountains and abound along rivers in the low-lying green valleys. Above 3000 meters, the vegetation becomes more scarce, and grasslands and barren rock slopes characterize the landscape. Animal life is diverse, although the bigger wildlife is somewhat rare to encounter. Brown bears can occasionally be spotted, for example along the shores of Iskanderkul.
