Meet your Host
Alex

Born and raised in the city of Assisi, during the years growing up, I learned everything there is to know about my home city. After studying history, art and architecture, I started my career as a tour director in Italy. I would be more than delighted to show you all the beautiful picturesque alleys on which I grew up, and share all of my knowledge behind our little traditions and little habits in a small medieval city like Assisi. I will teach you about all of the ancient sites and their legendary stories and tell you why Assisi is so important to Italy, and the world.

I did not know what to expect to experience during a virtual tour. I found myself fully immersed in the Assisi space. Wow, surreal! Andu was a perfect guide. His love and passion for his community shone through his stories and explanations of the history, architecture, people, and environment of his place. It forged a connection to his life and something of an understanding of what it is to be Italian. The little touches of his speaking briefly to people he knew bought life into our tour connecting to his lived life. For nearly two hours I was surprised and delighted with the experience and came away with a memorable connectIon to Assisi and a full heart
