Description
This live-streamed online experience takes you through the district of Wanchai, the renowned backdrop of the novel-turn movie ‘The World of Suzie Wong’. Traces of different ethnic communities constitute the development of this historic and down-to-earth neighbourhood.
Stroll through the Star Street precinct to get a glimpse of the historic Portuguese/Macanese quarters, head to the Hung Shing Temple and be amazed as you see the 'The Pawn', a traditional alternative financial institution now turned into a hip restaurant. Next, proceed towards the quirky Tai Yuen Street Market, where you can find toys for 'Kidults’ amidst meat and vegetable stalls and then finish the experience at Blue House Clusters after learning some haunting tales about the pre-war Tong Laus or Chinese tenement houses.
