Description
Ptuj is the oldest and, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful towns in Slovenia. Located in the northeastern part of Slovenia and surrounded by two wine-growing districts, Ptuj is widely renowned as the Slovenian capital of carnival and the city of poetry and wine.
We will start our live walking tour on the pedestrian bridge; here, you will get the most beautiful views of the medieval town and the castle perched atop!
As we walk into the Old Town, you will find out where Jewish people once lived, check out the most artistic place to enjoy coffee, and visit the three symbols of the old town - the famous Orpheus Monument, the Town Tower and the traditional carnival mask, which has made our town world famous. We will also see the beautiful Town Hall, and you will hear many stories and legends from the past, each one more interesting than the other!
