Description

On this live-streamed tour from the cobbled streets of colonial Santo Domingo, we will start with a brief introduction to its history, architecture and landmarks.

We will walk in Las Damas street to see some of the most important houses of the colonial era (all coral stone buildings), monuments of ancient architectural styles (Mudejar, Gothic, Romantic and Plateresque) and colonial museums that speak of the life of the time.  We will be visiting colonial landmarks such as Alcazar de Colón built for Diego Colón and his family from 1510 to 1577; Casas Reales was where part of the continent's conquest was planned; Church of Jesuits, Calle las Damas, Plaza Columbus, and Cathedral de Santo Domingo.
