We will start from Piazza Scala to focus on Scala Opera House, the real temple of music hosting the greatest international artists since 1778. Moving ahead, we will cross a huge building that has now been converted into an art gallery. Next to it is the old town which now serves as the Mayor's office. Some parts of this building are opened to the public every year around Christmas to showcase beauty and art. Then, we will move to the "Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II", the first covered shopping centre globally. It was built in the 19th century and is beautifully decorated with relics and a glass roof. The floors are made of coloured marbles. The symbol of Italy's 4 capitals is made on the floor using marble.
On crossing the Galleria, we will come out at the Main Square of the city where the Duomo is located. The huge impressive Cathedral of Milan is made of marble. It is one of the largest Cathedrals in Europe. It is built in the Gothic styles and is covered with more than 1000 statues. It took almost 6 centuries to complete the construction.
