Description

Join me on this virtual walk through the charming city of Bologna, and get to know its culture and history like a local!
We will begin our Online Experience with a view of King Enzo's palace located in the historical centre of Bologna. The Neptune fountain, built in 1563, stands next to the palace which was put there for beautification and to provide drinking water to the public. On the sidewall of the palace, there are two statues of Eagle, one of which is rumoured to be made by Michelangelo. After admiring these sites, we will make our wat to visit some memorials from the Second World War and learn more about the role Bologna played in this period.
Moving to the main square where the Town Hall is located, I will show you how the hall is made up of three separate buildings. We will then pay a visit to the courtyard of the University of Bologna, which is decorated with the court of arms of the wealthy families who had studied there.

Towards the end of the tour, I will take you through the narrows alleys of the "Quadrilatero", the food district of Bologna, where you will get a glimpse of some of the food shops, bakeries, and delis. Together, we will admire their specialities, which include Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Mortadella, Balsamic Vinegar and many more. Our last stop will be in front of the two towers Asinelli and Garisenda, built in the early 12th century.

I am a licensed Tour Guide of the Emilia Romagna Region since 2015 and recently I have also become a Tour Leader. I provide cultural and artistic tours in the most famous city of my region Emilia Romagna, as well as food and wine tasting experiences (I am also a wine taster and a food storyteller).
Over the years I have cultivated many interests. I have collected Vespa scooters and a vintage Fiat 500 and I have worked in the restaurant and hospitality sector. All these interests have come together in my job as a tourist guide and in the art of storytelling. I have published two food and wine-themed travel books that have been nationally distributed and I continue to showcase my territory with dedication and passion from many points of view.
