Description

Stroll through the main sites of the Buda Castle Hill neighbourhood in this real-time walking tour. We will start from the Fisherman’s Bastion, taking in the views of the Pest. After that, we go past the Matthias church, one of the finest churches in the city, and the statue to the Holy Trinity. Walking down the medieval streets of the castle’s residential area, we will reach the Alexander Palace, which has been serving as the residence and workplace for the Hungarian President since 2003.

This tour can be a perfect complement to our other virtual tours in the Buda Castle district. The other possible extensions are our historical Jewish quarter tour, or the basic Pest tour as both of these tours take place across the river from the Buda Castle hill.

Adam

I finished my education in 2011 and have been working as a qualified guide ever since. In 2016, I completed a special course organized by the Budapest History Museum for local tourist guides. In 2019 I qualified as a guide of the Dohany street synagogue. Other than just telling facts and figures, I strongly believe that guiding should be entertaining as well. Educating while entertaining is the key phrase for me. As I was born and raised in Budapest I have been an eyewitness to a sleeping beauty's transformation into a multi-cultural metropolis. I can be your insider man to understand the Hungarians better and to have some experiences with the local life.
