Description

Join me on this Online Experience to explore the historical, cultural, and artistic hotspots of Melbourne like a local.

We will begin our real-time virtual tour with a visit to the Melbourne Arts Centre, which is a thriving centre for the performing arts and hosts a regular string of theatre shows and concerts. Next, we will head towards the Crown Casino Complex located on the banks of the Yarra river, passing one of the city's tallest buildings on our way.

If you are a sports geek, I have some great news for you: we will be making our way to the world-famous Melbourne Cricket Ground, where some of the most memorable cricket and football matches have taken place in the past. The size and history of the ground is sure to enthrall you, and I will supply you with some more information to top it all off.

I will then take you to see the majestic St Paul’s Cathedral, and we will stop to appreciate the statues of Matthew Flinders, Sir Redmond Barry, and Joan of Arc.

Any tour of Melbourne would be incomplete without ambling through some of the city's most iconic streets and alleys. Amongst others, we will make our way to the famous Hosier Lane, where you will get to admire some famous street art. We will follow this up with a walk through the theatre district. I will show you the famous Atheneum and Regent theatres and tell you about their interesting histories.

Melbourne is one of the few cities in the world with a functioning tramway, and we will hop on for a quick tram ride to experience the old world charm of it. During our ride, we will talk about some other equally charming aspects of life in the city, and disembark at the City Library. Here, you will get to appreciate Ned Kelly's armour and learn about Australian Aboriginal history before we say our goodbyes.
