Description

Have a glance at the exciting and rich culture of the Hungarian Jewish community with our live virtual Jewish quarter tour!

During this live-streamed tour, I will walk you through the heart of the historical Jewish quarter of Pest, which is one of the most interesting parts of Budapest’s city centre. I will introduce you to two of the main synagogues from the outside. While we walk the streets of the historical Jewish quarter I also tell you a few stories about those who’s been awarded the Righteous Among the Nations title.

This live virtual Jewish quarter tour can be a perfect complement to our thematic virtual tour in the Buda Castle district as the historical Jewish quarter tour covers a different part of the Pest side.

Adam

I finished my education in 2011 and have been working as a qualified guide ever since. In 2016, I completed a special course organized by the Budapest History Museum for local tourist guides. In 2019 I qualified as a guide of the Dohany street synagogue. Other than just telling facts and figures, I strongly believe that guiding should be entertaining as well. Educating while entertaining is the key phrase for me. As I was born and raised in Budapest I have been an eyewitness to a sleeping beauty's transformation into a multi-cultural metropolis. I can be your insider man to understand the Hungarians better and to have some experiences with the local life.
