Walk with me from the area of the amphitheatre, passing through the centres of power (Piazza del Comune, its public buildings and its underground) to arrive at the great attraction of the city, the Basilica of San Francesco. After years as a lecturer at the University and as a travel agent, she finally returned to her first “love” and now works as a tourist and nature guide accompanying Italian and foreign groups of people to discover the towns of Umbria. She loves the details, the trivia, and the funny stories that make even the most ordinary places "interesting". It will be a pleasure to spark your interest by looking at what others don't!
Born and raised in the city of Assisi, during their years growing up, Alex learned everything there is to know about his home city. After studying history, art and architecture, he started his career as a tour director in Italy. He would be more than delighted to show you all the beautiful picturesque alleys on which he grew up and share his knowledge behind the little traditions and habits in a small medieval city like Assisi. He will teach you about the ancient sites and their legendary stories and why Assisi is so important to Italy and the world.
