Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland, has a rich history and offers the modern traveller a lively and vibrant environment. Join me on this virtual tour and explore the Glasgow City Center area and its landmarks like a local!
This Online Experience will start near the Cathedral of Saint Mungo, where the city was founded in the early Christian times, and it will conclude in George Square, the city's main public square. During the tour, I will help you grasp the ancient and glorious past of Glasgow and its strong reputation as a wealthy city gained during the Industrial Revolution, a time when Glasgow was known as "the workshop of the world".
We will learn about the history and the places and people that helped Glasgow flourish in the 18th and 19th centuries. Among those are James Watt, James Young, John Logie Baird and many more. Let us find out together who they are and what their contribution was!
Glasgow has also gained a reputation in the last few years due to its celebrated "Mural Trail". During the stroll, I will take you to several of these murals, including Saint Mungo, Saint Enoch and more!

I have a Masters Degree in History of Art and attended part of a Ph.D. Program at Glasgow University on the same subject.
