Description
This fascinating Online Experience will allow you to enjoy a tour of the the beautiful Italian city of Udine and walk through the major attractions it has to offer, all from the comfort of your own home! All stops on this tour will be punctuated with exciting information and historical facts about the sights we witness and the events or figures that have lent them their fame. We will also explore local fare along the way to spice up our tour and ready you in case of a possible in-person visit in the future!
Our first stop will be Liberty Square or Piazza Libertà, the centre of the town. Built in the late 15th century in the Venetian-Gothic style, it resembles the Piazza San Marco of Venice. After admiring this beautiful square, we will dedicate some time to exploring the City Hall on the opposite side of the Porch of Saint John's. Following this, we will go to the Udine Castle, the old market street, and Saint James' Square. The last stop will be Cattedrale di Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the oldest churches in the town and the seat of the Archbishop of Udine.
