Join me on this fantastic Online Experience for a virtual walk through Treviso, located a few kilometres from Venice and a real gem on water - in fact, it is often referred to as “Little Venice." This tour will allow you to best admire the beautiful works of art, architectural styles, and traditions that dot this lovely city.
I will first introduce you to the fascinating Piazza dei Signori and provide you with a deeper perspective on its history. Together, will explore the hidden corners of the city's authentic areas such as the main Calmaggiore street, the picturesque Buranelli canal, and the local marker “Peschiera” Island, which is surrounded by elegant old buildings that overlook special water mills.
Further along on our tour, I will show you beautiful frescoes and authentic decorations and a unique fountain, and amuse you with a funny story called the “Fontana delle tette”. The origin of the Tiramisù dessert is another tale to be discovered here. To end this trip, we will travel back in time to a unique part of the city, the Knights’ Loggia, and say goodbye in front of the independence statue, the “Teresona”.
