Description

Join this interactive, live-streamed Online Experience of Soweto to visit the homes of two Nobel Peace Prize winners - Nelson Mandela and  Bishop Tutu - which stand a few meters apart from each other on the famous Vilakazi Street. Going further along the same route, you will catch a glimpse of different restaurants serving delicious African fare. This is a vibrant street where one might enjoy a live performance of the locals showing off their talent through singing and dancing, depending on availability and timing.

We will then proceed to the site where Hector Peterson, at the age of 13, was shot dead along with hundreds of other protestors during the 1976 student uprising, a historical event in which hundreds of students died within a short span of time. Throughout this tour, I will provide valuable insights into Soweto's local culture and history to make your experience memorable and informative. We will wrap this tour up at the Hector Peterson Museum, an important memorial and landmark.
