Description
Join me on this Online Experience, and we will explore Sestri Levante, a beautiful small town on the Italian Riviera between Portofino and Cinque Terre.
We will begin our tour with a visit to a beautiful private palace from the 18th century, which has now been converted into a library and museum. From here, I will take you around the historical center of the town, which is full of pastel-shaded buildings, stopping to admire a candy shop selling some local sweets en route.
Walking down the pedestrian street, we will reach the promenade, where a beautiful villa from the 16th century stands now converted into a luxury hotel. Our next destination will be the Bay of Fables, which provides a breathtaking panoramic view over the water. As we walk down to the Bay of Silence, I will tell you about the houses of local fishermen that once stood here and introduce you to the stories behind the name of this bay.
Moving to the city centre, where the town hall is situated, we will end our tour by exploring one of the lanes known for its excellent restaurants and bars. Here, we will learn about the popular local cuisine and feast our eyes on the flow of daily life on this side of the Italian Riviera.
