See the Monuments of Slavery in Stone Town

This tour, live-streamed from Zanzibar will start from the slave market site, Here I will introduce you to the history, of the slave trade, slave chambers, the cost and action taken to abolish the slave trade in Zanzibar led by David Living stone, and then I will show you also the monument where slaves were tied by a chain. we will continue to Darajani Market where we can see varieties of spices, fruits, fish, meat. We will continue to the narrow street of the stone town where we can see the types of Zanzibar doors which are categorized in Indian door style, Arabian type, and Gujarat door, Then we can head to the narrow street of stone town to the Saint Joseph Cathedral where you can see varieties of Tinga tinga painting shop in the street, Then we will continue to Old Forts (Old fort) here we can explain the history of the Old Fort. We will end the tour with a visit to the Forodhan Garden House of wonder, Sultan palace Museum and Old Dispensary near to Zanzibar Port.

Description

We will start this live-streamed online experience from the Slave Market, where you will be introduced to the history of the slave trade. You will see the slave chambers and get to know about David Livingstone - the man who took on the herculean task of abolishing slavery. Then, we will head to the monument where slaves were tied by a chain and Darajani Market where you will see varieties of spices, fruits, fish and meat. 

Walking down the narrow streets, you will see various designs of doors like the Indian door style, Arabian door type and Gujarat door type. Later, we head to the Saint Joseph Cathedral where you can see varieties of 'Tinga Tinga' painting shops followed by a visit to the Old Fort. Finally, visit the Forodhani Garden House of Wonder, Sultan Palace Museum and Old Dispensary near the Zanzibar Port.
