Description
In this live-streamed, interactive Online Experience, I will take you to my ancestral village of Harran, one of the oldest cities in the world with a history dating back nearly 8000 years. Harran witnessed many empires and dynasties come and go before Hulagu Khan (Genghiz Khan's grandson) destroyed it to a mass of rubble. It was a commercial hub and home to the oldest Islamic university. Together we will flip through the pages of history and relive the days of its glorious past.
We will start our tour with the beehive houses which belong to my great-grandfather. As we walk from one room to another, we will learn why these were built in such a specific style. Then we will step out to walk to the Sun and Moon Temple and finally visit the Harran University, the oldest university in the world that today serves as an archaeological site. Throughout our tour, I will talk to you about the culture and traditions of the region and tell you stories about the life and times of my ancestors. I look forward to seeing you on this tour and showing you all the ancient wonders that Harran has to offer.

I am a Teacher and an Archaeologist. I was born in the ancient Harran city, a city so old that it is mentioned in the Torah. As a local guide, I can show you the best of Harran's archaeological and cultural sites.
I have been guiding in different parts of Turkey for 15 years and can show you Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Adiyaman, Mardin, Diyarbakir and Batman. I can speak seven languages English, Arabic, Turkish, French, Italian, German and Japanese.
